The following is an e-mail that was sent from Michelle Dell with Hogs and Heifers for a ride this Sunday.
"On a sad and tragic note, last weekend saw the passing of one of our customers and a beloved friend of many, Chris Glazier who died from injuries resulting from a severe motorcycle accident. Chris leaves behind his 5 year old son Josh, who fortunately has his Mom and Grandmother with him. Mr. D's is hosting a ride and fund-raiser this Sunday to remember Chris and to help raise some money for his family to cover funeral costs. There is no fee for the ride, but donations are encouraged and hugely appreciated. The gathering at Mr. D's begins at 11AM and kickstands go up at Noon when the group will head out to the Mountain Springs Saloon. Hogs & Heifers has collection buckets getting passed around the bar and we will be collecting donations throughout the day on Sunday to add to the money raised at Mr. D's. SO...if your plan is to spend the day with us at our BBQ on Sunday, try to drop by Mr. D's either before or after to pay your respects and if you can't make it at all, you can always make a donation here at Hogs & Heifers. It is important to remember that time stops for no one and any day could be our last, be grateful for every moment you have and always make an effort to remember those we have lost and try to help out the families they have left behind.
Michelle Dell"
Images from the Save the Boobs are now online and ready to be viewed. The turn out was great as usual. The street in front of Hogs and Heifers was closed to car traffic and bikes lined the street in rows. The ride started and ended at Hogs and Heifers with a BBQ and Southern Stue played for the masses.

The Pioneer Saloon was built in 1913, and other than a short period from 1954 to 1960, the bar has been open for the last 95 years. Recently the Saloon has been added to the State Register of Historic Places and is under consideration in the National Register.
The bar itself was made in 1860 out of Cherry Wood and was shipped in three pieces from Brunswick, Maine. The trip took the bar around Cape Horn and into San Fransico. One section of the bar never arrived and another section was lost to a fire. The third section is what still stands in the bar today.
